Bank Clinical Support Workers support the trust in delivering high quality care for our service users
Temporary Staffing covers staffing shortfalls within CWPs inpatient units, which are located in Chester, Wirral, Macclesfield and Nether Alderley. Joining the bank will give you the opportunity to work on our wards that cater for Mental Health, Learning Disabilities and CAMHS, with our shift patterns being Days - and Nights
We offer a full paid training package before offering work, which includes a mixture of eLearning and Face to Face. The face to face training is indicated below and is held at Sycamore House, Ellesmere Port or Soss Moss, Nether Alderley;
1. Trust Induction - 1 day (Ellesmere Port only)
2. Proactive Approach Training - 5 days
3. Clinical Systems Training - 1 day

At CWP we offer our bank workers weekly pay and access to Wagestream.
Main duties of the job
Duties will vary from ward to ward however, you will be expected to undertake the following:
4. To support the therapeutic relationship with service users through engagement and activities as deemed appropriate to the client group.
5. Assist in standardised procedures relating to individualised total patient care, under the direct supervision of a primary nurse
6. Participate in patient observation and reporting any changes to senior staff as necessary.
7. Carry out other duties identified/designed by senior staff that related to the needs, changes and demands of the Ward and patient care inclusive of the provision of personal care when required.
8. .The post holder will be employed to work within a particular ward environment but may be required to work within any other Ward / locality as demand requires.

Qualifications
Essential
9. Appropriate Mental Health related NVQ level 2
10. To demonstrate a range of work procedures and practices base level of theoretical knowledge
Desirable
11. NVQ qualifications in Health and Social Care or other related disciplines
12. Completion of or Working towards Care Certificate (CWP In-house training to be completed within 3 months of start date)
Knowledge and Expertise
Essential
13. Understanding of CWP, inclusive of Mental health and learning disability services and the key role the Trust has within the health economy
14. An understanding of confidentiality issues how they relate to mental health policy and practice interventions.
15. Sound knowledge of CWP observation policy
16. Able to demonstrate the ability to deliver direct care within an inpatient setting, under the direction of a qualified staff, but without direct supervision.

17. Knowledge of mental health legislation and policies.

18. Previous experience of providing Care in a structured setting within the field of mental health or learning disabilities
19. Experience of working collaboratively with colleagues, wider teams service users etc
