We are Bury Independent Living Development (ILD), a leading, Bury-based learning disability provider within a growing number of support living services.
* We currently support up to a maximum of around 25 people with learning disabilities in a supported living environment.
* We plan the support required, involving the people who will receive support, their relatives, friends, and other people who know them to determine their individual needs in terms of accommodation, number of residents, and level of support.
* Our teams work closely with Social Services and Housing Associations.
* We are proud to support people to live their best life, and to do that we need great Support Workers.
Could you be our next great Support Worker?
We have a number of full-time (FT) and part-time (PT) opportunities for experienced support workers who have experience or a proven commitment to learning the skills required to become one.
The role of a Support Worker at Bury ILD is varied; we ensure the people we support are safe, happy, and leading great lives. We also work alongside the people we support to encourage them to manage situations independently and gain confidence as a person where possible.
Supporting someone with needs isn't just about personal care; it is about every aspect of support and living an independent life in their community.
We encourage people to learn and try new life skills such as cooking or actively seeking out new choices and opportunities, possibly engaging in education and local community partnerships/events.
As a Support Worker, you will meet people who may need additional support; we offer a full training suite of learning for employees/volunteers to ensure the services we deliver meet the needs of the people we support.
