With good theoretical and practical technical knowledge, you will be responsible for designing and supporting the manufacture of electronics that are integral to the function and performance of our products. Main responsibilities will include:
* Designing and developing solutions to support data acquisition and control of new educational products including: printed circuit board design, development and validation; firmware development and validation; integration with controllers, instrumentation, drives, etc.
* Produce and maintain technical documentation, updates to drawings, bill of materials, manufacturing drawings, PCB manufacturing files, etc.
* Provide technical support for on-site manufacturing and test to quickly resolve issues and keep production on track to meet customer delivery dates.

* Contract: Permanent, full time.

Requirements
* Degree in Electronics or Electrical and Electronic Engineering
* 5+ Years commercial electronic design experience, Analogue and Digital, including:
o Interfacing to instrumentation and transducers
o Signal conditioning (filtering, amplification, attenuation, etc.)
o Signal processing (including ADC & DAC)
o Interfacing to microcontrollers
* Schematic Capture and PCB Design
* Understanding PCB assembly and manufacturing processes
* Ability to build, test & debug prototypes
* Experience with PIC microcontrollers & SoC devices
* Knowledge and experience of C programming
* Use of MRP/ERP systems to control bill of materials
* Knowledge of IPC-A-610 / IPC Standards
* Knowledge of design for EMC
* Familiarity with Low Voltage and EMC directives (CE Marking)
* Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) & Design for Testability (DFT) techniques
* Use of EDA software – Pulsonix (preferred) and OrCAD
