About the role:
In the role of Field Technician, you will support all activities associated with the deployment and ongoing support of Eco Detection systems in the field.
Specific duties include:
* Equipment pre-deployment / field readiness testing.
* Packing up equipment ready for shipping.
* Field deployment of equipment.
* Routine servicing of deployed equipment (self or via subcontractor).
* Tracking consumable levels and planning the supply and return of consumables to and from sites.
* Tracking and updating site details.
Education / Experience requirements:
* Essential: Has completed a qualification in an applicable discipline (e.g. mechatronics, electronic, mechanical and/or software engineering) or has similar work-based experience.
* Desirable: Experience in conducting scientific/environmental field work, preferably water quality monitoring.
* Desirable: Good mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic technical skills.
* Desirable: Familiarity working with MS Office suite, SharePoint and ticket systems such as Workfront/Jira.
Other requirements:
* Australian citizen or permanent resident.
* Full driver licence.
* Physically fit.
* Comfortable working alone.
* Willing to undertake interstate/international travel if required.
