Our client, a leading player in the chemical and process industry, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join their team at their site in Wigan. Your new role
In this role, you will be a key member of the maintenance team, ensuring the safe and continuous production of the plant. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive maintenance and electrical services to the process plant and other designated areas. Your duties will include the maintenance and repair of steam boilers, pumps, gearboxes, agitators, and other plant equipment, as well as electrical plant equipment. You will also be involved in the installation of chemical plant equipment and general building and electrical maintenance repairs.
What you'll need to succeed
1. Experience with planned preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance, fault-finding, and electrical infrastructure systems.
2. Relevant electrical qualification.
3. Knowledge of ATEX rated sites is beneficial.
4. Practical, hands-on attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.

Our client offers a permanent contract with a 6-month probation period, working Monday to Friday from 08:00 am to 4:30 pm. You will be eligible for BUPA membership at the expense of the company after completion of your probation period. You will be automatically enrolled into the company pension scheme after 3 months. Contribution: Employer 3%, Employee 5%.
