Position: Assistant Project ManagerRate: Indicative Inside IR35Location: BirminghamStart date: AprilContract Duration: 9 monthsPeople Group are looking to recruit a Assistant Project Manager from a Client Side background to work for a Train Operating Company.ResponsibilitiesHelping to administer contract elements related to the delivery of the infrastructure project, ensuring adherence to the project programme and closely collaborating with the Project ManagerAdministration of the delivery of construction documents produced by the appointed Design and Build contractor, reviewing detail and ensuring a high quality of work.Managing communication and change control between stakeholders, including the client, the contractor and the Depot user population.Checking and ensuring robust implementation of the contractor's programmePreparing planning application documents including the environmental statementPromotion of an exemplary Health and Safety cultureJob Skills, Experience and QualificationsGraduate Engineer or similar level of qualifications and proven work experienceExperience working in the UK rail industry client sideUnderstanding of Contracts and Contract Management, specifically NEC4 ContractExperience in using recognised contract management techniques (e.g. CEMAR)Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.Familiarity with project management software and financial systems is advantageous
