Site Manager (Fit out) Specialist Contractor Based in Co. Down Your new company Your new company is an expanding specialist contractor based in Co. Down who now require a Site Manager to join their team. They work across a wide variety of sectors within construction, such as new build/ refurbishment, commercial and fit out. Working in both public and private sectors for high-end clients. The company has continued to grow and establish themselves within the industry and, due to successful tenders, are looking to increase their team with an experienced Site Manager to help push them forward and uphold the excellent standards they have set. Your new role You will be working alongside a team of professionals to deliver the best results on fantastic fit-out projects in the County Down area and further afield. Working as part of a management team, you’ll be expected to oversee the progress of new and ongoing fit-out projects. The initial project will be based in Warrenpoint with future works secured.As Site Manager, some of your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Managing multiple trades across a fast-paced shop fit out environments. Oversee the day-to-day direction of the project and specific stages within it to ensure it meets quality expectations and programme deadlines. Ensure Health & Safety is always maintained as well as adjusting timelines based on the project’s progress, and regularly communicate project goals to on-site employees. Interact with the supply chain, subcontractors, and clients, while ensuring the quality delivery of the project within the appropriate time frame. What you'll need to succeed To succeed in this role, you will have previous experience overseeing fit out schemes and ideally with exposure to a wide variety of projects across the fit-out construction world.You will be required to have management / supervisory experience, with those having a Joinery / Carpentry trade preferred. It will be essential to hold relevant management or supervisory tickets such as SMSTS / SSSTS / CSCS / NVQ. You will be expected to be self-motivated, with a keen eye for detail and strong organisational skills to manage multiple tradesmen and those you have responsibility for on-site. You will also need to be willing to travel as sites dictate. Great communication skills are essential to ensure the site is kept informed, with sub-contractors, materials / equipment and being able to connect with the wider management team to guarantee this.
