Job Description
The Junior/ Midweight Graphic Designer will be responsible for working alongside the Senior Graphic Designer in the Creative Department of a busy full-service packaging manufacturer. The Junior/ Midweight Graphic Designer will demonstrate creativity, up-to-date knowledge of design software and a professional approach to feedback, time, costs, and deadlines.
Key areas of responsibility
* Assist in designing corporate communications, presentations, product packaging, sales tools, and promotional elements.
* Become familiar with brand guidelines and overall brand identity.
* Works with existing design software to create beautiful and legible presentations for our sales department.
* Assist and learn to design for packaging and adapt artwork for different packaging formats.
* Develop skills to sample with multiple packaging materials, including 3D printing.
* Accurately estimate the time required to complete work within time and cost constraints.
* Proof-reads to ensure accurate and high-quality work.
* Conceptualizes assignments by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts.
* Has the ability to learn new software to accomplish projects.
* Works well as part of a collaborative team, and directly with Senior Graphic Designer.
* Assist in designing marketing materials that have high visual impact and help present our products and services to our customers.
Skills
* Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design/ Product Design or similar.
* Comfortable using Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
* Preferred experience in packaging, print and digital graphic design.
* Strong typography skills.
* Strong photography and photo editing skills.
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
* 3D skills will be beneficial.
* Innovative and creative thinker.
* The ability to multitask whilst maintaining attention to detail.
* Pro-active and positive attitude to work and life in general.
Salary negotiable depending on experience. Full-time role 37.5 hours a week
