My Banking Client is looking for an exceptional Financial Crime Business Analyst
This is a key role at an exciting time in the evolution of 1st line Financial Crime team to support the Head of Financial Crime Operations and Financial Crime Transformation Lead.
The role will be the lead BA for financial crime frameworks, technology, and related projects.
You will work alongside our 1st line teams, Risk and Compliance colleagues and group partner across business and the Risk function This is an ideal role for someone who has a strong background in financial crime frameworks and technology and who would like to lead future development and improvement activity.
1. As a Financial Crime Business Analyst, you will work as part of the Financial Crime Transformation Project.
2. You’ll support the delivery of various workstreams, including KYC/CDD, screening, transaction monitoring, and tax.
3. Your role involves analysing current functions and those slated for transformation, identifying areas for strategic enhancements, and ensuring alignment and integration for improved efficiency and synergy.
4. Additionally, you’ll develop process maps, document business requirements, support solution delivery, support change integration into BAU, and foster positive stakeholder relationships across various functions.
ABOUT THE ROLE
5. Design and delivery key capabilities required under the FC Operations Operating Model.
6. Capturing, validating, and documenting business and system requirements ensuring they are in line with key strategic principles, and translating from business operations, business objectives, or from external requirements.
7. Facilitate discussions with users and potential users to extract an understanding of system usage and potential future enhancements.
8. Identifying, tracking, managing, and mitigating any project Risks, Assumptions, Issues and
9. Identifying and analysing risk, issues and dependencies around transitional and future state designs and proactively highlighting to a Project Manager / Programme Manager as necessary.
10. Identifying opportunity for process automation and design solutions and processes to minimise operational inefficiencies.
11. Creating process maps and support delivery of operating model to support embedding change into BAU.
12. Building and maintaining a positive working relationship with stakeholders across multiple
13. franchises and functions and at different levels of hierarchy.
YOU WILL HAVE:
14. Experience of 1st and 2nd line financial crime risk management in an FCA regulated Financial Services environment.
15. Strong financial crime IT and technology skills and background.
16. Demonstrable skills and experience implementing business and technical change.
17. Previous experience working as a Business Analyst, ideally in a Financial Services / or risk management function
18. Strong stakeholder management skills.
19. Target operating model experience.
20. Process mapping and business design.
21. Excellent communication skills (both written and oral), with strong stakeholder management & relationship building skills.
