We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement and Contracts Officer to join our team and drive forward our ambitious programme in Social Investment and Property. You will form part of an ambitious Procurement and Contracts function, ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of our services.
The Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* providing direct end-to-end procurement support, from procurement strategy to contract realisation, across a portfolio of procurement projects
* providing subject matter expertise and advice in relation to procurement practice to ensure procurement activity.
* identifying and delivering creative solutions to complex procurement problems
* creating a high performing procurement and commercial development function that innovatively delivers improved outcomes
* producing regular performance reports and identifying potential risks and issues.
* collaborating with stakeholders to achieve programme objectives.

About You:
This is an exceptional opportunity to make a significant impact on our borough and deliver tangible benefits for our residents.
You’ll already have experience procurement and contracts, with a proven track record in delivering end to end procurement support.
You’ll have an understanding of public procurement processes and financial transactions.
You will have an ability to monitor contracts and agreements in relation to the supply and management of accommodation and to resolve disputes by negotiation.
Proactiveness and communication skills are essential in this role, and you’ll be self-motivated and confident enough to work independently whilst being a part of a high-performing team.
