This role at Rooms4u as a Finance Manager is ideal for someone experienced in financial and accounting practices within a growing, multifaceted property business. The position requires an individual who is both detail-oriented and analytically skilled, with a background in managing financial systems (preferably in the property sector), particularly Xero, as well as handling end-to-end accounting tasks. Key Responsibilities: Implement and enhance financial systems for smooth operations. Support senior teams in formulating growth strategies and business plans. Manage a team of accounts assistants and delegate tasks. Manage client invoicing, payments, and maintain accurate accounts. Perform transaction verification, account maintenance, and liaise with stakeholders (clients, suppliers, banks). Prepare VAT returns, oversee payroll monthly, and manage month-end close processes. Compile schedules, statements, and necessary financial reports. Suggest updates to accounting systems to drive improvements. Supervise a junior admin team to implement and streamline processes. Contribute to year-end accounting procedures. Requirements: Strong experience with Xero. Excellent organisational skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to build close relationships with senior management to understand and fulfil their needs. Analytical problem-solver capable of addressing complex issues effectively. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years in accounting, with at least 1 year of experience in financial accounting and management.
