Competitive salary offered dependent on experience.
Hours would be Monday – Friday 08.00 – 16.00 with overtime paid at time and half and double time between 18.00 Saturday and 06.00 Monday.

Purpose of the role:
Responsible for day-to-day operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment plants, to ensure the efficient, safe, and economical treatment of wastewater and associated power generation.
Duties and responsibilities of the role:
Multi-site role to operate and maintain water treatment processes. (Predominantly Kings Lynn based)
Ensures efficient day-to-day operation of a water treatment plants.
Carry out preventative maintenance on assets associated with water treatment.
Ensures compliance with environmental regulations, policies and procedures in the operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment.
Takes samples and performs tests to ensure water quality; computes and records test results; informs notify management of unsatisfactory or problematic tests.
Responsible for the replenishment of chemicals to the water supply.
Conducts regular service / inspections of assets, following recommended preventative maintenance schedules.
Operates specialised equipment related to the treatment plant’s distribution and treatment processes; operates compressors, diagnostic equipment and tools as required for the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of the treatment.
Requirements for the role:
City and Guilds Level 3 in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering.
Experience in operating and maintaining a water treatment plant.
Knowledge of the methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in the operation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of wastewater treatment plant components.
Knowledge of the mechanical, biological, and chemical processes involved in the operation of a wastewater treatment plant.
Knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions associated with the operation of a wastewater treatment plant.
Ability to analyse complex data.
Ability to operate and maintain equipment used in the wastewater treatment process.
Ability to recognise needed repairs and carry out action plan to execute.
Ability to perform, analyse and interpret tests for the purpose of making operational adjustments.
