Please note in regards to location this role has UK wide travel, one with focus for Wales and south west England, the other with contracted services. Both must be willing to travel to those locations and William Booth College in London.
Working hours: Minimum of 35 hours per week (Peripatetic with location)

Of people professionals playing a key role in equipping The Salvation Army for mission by providing innovative and relevant Learning and Development. This dynamic role aims to embed a culture of learning across the organisation, directly supporting the development needs of officers and employees in the UK and ROI.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide expert L&D advice and guidance, and support the organisation to identify learning needs, sourcing/developing appropriate and effective L&D solutions for all services and supporting/delivering programmes as required.
2. Provide support through consultation using analytical or advisory skills for complex L&D issues in line with organisational policies and procedures.
3. Model The Salvation Army’s Christian ethos and values in all L&D activities.
The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:
1. Professional L&D Qualification CIPD L5 Diploma, with the drive to keep updated with best practice developments.
2. Strong experience of successfully implementing learning initiatives including learning needs analysis, face-to-face learning, online learning, evaluating learning, creating learning resources, workshops, mentoring/coaching and sourcing external providers.
3. Occupational Requirement for an active Christian faith, with the ability lead Christian worship and theological reflection as part of learning.
4. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to encourage, support and motivate learners, establishing a culture of continuous learning and effective stakeholder relationships.
This role has an occupational requirement that the successful candidate must be a committed and practising Christian and will be in sympathy with the doctrines of, and supportive of, the purposes and the aims and objectives of The Salvation Army.
