Job Title: Production Planner

Location: Caerphilly
Shift: 37 hours per week. Monday to Thursday 8am to 4:30pm and Friday 8am to 1pm
Pay: up to £35,000
Overview:
With manufacturing facilities located across the UK and EU, we now require a site-based Production Planner to join the team.
Key responsibilities of the Production Planner role:
1. Ensure products are manufactured in a cost-effective way and in a timely manner that meets the customer's quality specifications.
2. Contribute to the improvement of the production and distribution processes whilst ensuring the distribution of products runs smoothly.
3. Develop and manage production schedules to ensure efficient workflow.
4. Coordinate with teams across departments to ensure timely materials and resources are available.
5. Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to minimize waste.
6. Troubleshoot production delays and provide solutions for a seamless operation.
7. Optimize production processes for cost-efficiency and on-time delivery.
The ideal candidate / Production Planner may have some of the following:
1. Experience of MPS/MRP/ERP, Microsoft packages.
2. Confident in the use of data spreadsheets, MS Excel, lookups, etc.
3. Forecasting and Bill of Materials management.
4. Previous experience working in a production planning department within a manufacturing environment.
5. Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP-B1).
