We are a small primary school in the heart of the Cotswolds, easily accessed from Cheltenham and Gloucester. We are looking to recruit a hard-working, loyal and dedicated general classroom teaching assistant in lower KS2 until the end of the academic year in the first instance.
The successful candidate will be required to work 18 hours per week (3 days Tuesday to Thursday 8.30 - 3pm) term time only.
You will be working under the direction of the class teacher and will be required to take the initiative in terms of provision.
We are looking for someone with the following qualities and experience:
1. Ability to support individual and small groups of children under the teacher's direction.
2. Ability to be cheerful and hard-working.
3. Experience is desirable but training can be given.
4. Communicate effectively with parents and carers under the direction of the teacher.
We have a strong focus on community involvement and using the wider community to promote learning. We have beautiful grounds and a modern building with an onsite community/nurture hub and nursery, so there are plenty of opportunities to broaden your experience of working in a small school community.
