Are you an experienced Sound Technician? Can you operate and plot sound for shows on DiGiCo SD software? Do you enjoy providing hands-on support setting up sound for shows? Are you available to start late March for 12 months?
We are looking for an experienced Sound Technician, for 12 months, to assist the Sound Department with show operation for the 2025/26 season. In this role, you will work with the team across our Stratford-upon-Avon theatres, ensuring that effective and efficient technical support and maintenance is in place for all productions.
Reporting to the Head of Sound, key areas of responsibility include:
* Supporting Sound Designers by creatively assisting in the implementation and realization of their sound designs
* Operating and plotting sound for shows on DiGiCo desks
* Helping with fault-finding, repair, and maintenance of sound equipment
* Complying with RSC health and safety policies
* Supporting production sound in the setup of shows
To be suitable for this role, it is essential that you have the following knowledge and experience:
* Working knowledge and understanding of sound and communications in a theatre environment
* An understanding and familiarity of DiGiCo T software
* Good communication and teamwork skills
We are pleased to offer two full-time, fixed-term contracts, one supporting in the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and the other in the Swan Theatre. The roles are required from late March/early April until 29 March 2026, the hours are 44/48 hours per week on average, typically worked 6 out of 7 days (normally 5), Monday to Sunday.
