Ontic, a leading licensor and manufacturer of complex engineering parts for the global aerospace and defence industries, are now recruiting for a Quality Inspector (Receiving & Release) to join our growing Inspection teams. This role will be based at our Staverton site. You'll receive assignments and general direction from the Receiving Inspection Team Lead and your average day to day responsibilities will consist of: Communicating frequently with our Supplier Quality, Buyers, Suppliers and Programmes teams. You'll provide a wide variety of quality inspections on aerospace / marine parts and assemblies. You will oversee Product and Certification conformance to Design Data, Customer Specification or Purchase Order Requirements and will review First Articles Inspection Reports IAW AS9102. You'll ensure that quality standards and specifications are met on incoming and outgoing products and will use various inspection tools and devices to inspect complex mechanical parts visually and dimensionally. What knowledge/skills will you need? You'll be able to confidently read Engineering drawings and to check components against the requirements Experience using precision measuring tools is essential You'll ideally have experience operating a CMM ‘PC DMIS software’ - but this isn't essential. It would be an advantage if you're already be working in an Inspection role either currently or previously within your career.
