The opportunity We have an exciting opportunity at Polestar UK for someone to join the Marketing team and play a crucial role in the success of the business. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, Events & Retail Experience, this role works cross functionally between sales, network development, business operations, marketing and with our NGA investors to co-ordinate and champion excellent retail marketing plans and experiences across all Polestar locations. We are seeking a motivated individual to take on the role of Retail Marketing Manager. The Responsibilities Responsible for the broader retail marketing strategy and initiatives in the UK Be the lead representative for retailer marketing, fostering strong relationships and collaborations with other key stakeholders, departments and our investors to understand and align on objectives, strategies and activations. Accountable for executing and delivering the retailer marketing plans working in close collaboration with our investors and Polestar locations. Regular detailed evaluation of all activations and plans with each retailer to measure success, best practices and provide relevant feedback to the UK Polestar retail marketing community. Review results of the investor marketing spend, channel evaluation, forecasting and delivering positive ROI. Review and approve all local retailer’s marketing and events quarterly activation plans and tactical sales communication in-line with the latest brand guidelines and toolkits. Support local retailer marketing contacts with their plans, assets, any relevant kit and implementation. Share on a quarterly basis the broader UK national brand and marketing plans for clear alignment strategies and no cannibalisation on a local regional level. Work closely with the Senior Marketing Manager and Senior Events Manager to ensure they support the broader plans and activities. Act as a brand champion, reviewing and approving all assets developed by local retailers and supporting them with local communications and assets. Support new Polestar location openings and ensure a strong pre-opening, opening and post-opening launch plan. Be the customer champion for retail, reviewing and conducting market research where relevant to identify trends, needs, competitor activities and opportunities for growth. This includes supporting the management and regular review of mystery shopping activities and research. Share regular performance and marketing updates with the local retail marketing contacts and spaces/ Polestar locations and update internal tools with latest information on retailer campaigns, budgets, channels. Work with Polestar locations to capture professional content of all locations to ensure all relevant channels are constantly up to date. Create and push live local assets and content for space screens, window displays, Additionals displays and other communication touchpoints and launches to highlight upcoming events, local commercial and tactical offers and latest campaigns. The Ideal Candidate Demonstrable knowledge, experience and understanding of retailer and brand marketing and associated relevant KPI’s and processes. Driven and collaborative with a strategic and can-do attitude. Operational hands-on capabilities and highly organised Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Passion and enthusiasm for the brand and customer service Meticulous and thrives working in a demanding environment on several projects at once. A creative analytical person who relishes the innovative and new Strong analytical and reporting skills including budget management. Desire to test new ideas and approaches. Background in marketing/ retail marketing and media.
