We are recruiting for a Deputy Team Manager to work within AMHT overseeing all aspects of clinical duties as a senior practitioner within the team. You'll act as Care Coordinator within the Care Programme Approach, working with patients with particularly complex needs and deputise for AMHT Team Manager when required.
The South AMHT covers Abingdon, Didcot, Wantage & Faringdon and the Wallingford, Henley and Thame sector. This role will be based at Abingdon Community Hospital; covering Abingdon area.

Main duties of the job
* Provide clinical oversight and leadership of the team, providing clinical and management supervision to staff
* Conduct assessments, ensuring a biopsychosocial approach and relevant brief interventions as required
* Be on the duty rota and triage new referrals as required
* Attend daily patient flow meetings to provide an overview of the bed request

Qualifications
* Relevant Professional Qualification (RMN or Occupational Therapist)
* Advanced professional/clinical qualification (e.g. AMHP, CBT, DBT, NMP)
* Qualification in management and leadership within a healthcare setting
Additional Skills
* Confident in using email, internet, word, spreadsheets and databases
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge and Skills
* Experience of providing leadership
* Experience of working with Adults with acute mental illness
* A specialist knowledge and clinical expertise in community mental health in line with professional requirements
