About Us:
We are looking for Behaviour Mentors who are committed to supporting the academic and emotional development of every child. We are currently looking for a passionate and empathetic Behaviour Mentor to join the team and help students develop positive behaviours, emotional resilience, and a growth mindset.
The Role:
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with students who may need additional support with their behaviour and emotional well-being. You will provide one-to-one mentoring and small group interventions, helping pupils overcome personal challenges, manage their emotions, and develop positive strategies for their social interactions. Your role will be essential in helping students create and maintain positive behaviours in the classroom and wider school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Support and mentor students with challenging behaviours or emotional needs.
Deliver targeted interventions to improve students' social, emotional, and behavioural skills.
Work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to create behaviour management plans.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and guidance.
Provide support to both students and staff in creating a positive school culture.
Build strong, trusting relationships with students to help them feel supported and motivated.
Work with parents and carers to ensure consistency in managing behaviour at school and at home.
Contribute to the wider school community, promoting inclusion, respect, and emotional well-being.The Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience working with children, particularly in a behaviour support or mentoring role.
A good understanding of behaviour management strategies and techniques.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to make a difference in students' lives.
Experience in delivering small group interventions or one-to-one support.
A proactive and solution-focused approach to overcoming challenges.
A relevant qualification in education, psychology, or a related field (desirable but not essential)
