Job summary
The role of SOE is critical in providing victims of sexual assault with the dedicated support and care required.
We're looking for caring and compassionate RN's, Midwives, RMN's, or Paramedics to join us as Sexual Offence Examiners to provide holistic care and support to victims of sexual assault.
Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities will include:
1. Forensic examinations and obtaining forensic exhibits.
2. Develop forensic strategies according to FFLM guidelines.
3. Actively working in partnership with external MDTs and Police.
4. 1st point of contact for victims, Police, and Social Services to discuss referral pathways.
5. Manage and promote the self-referral pathway.
6. Undertaking holistic assessments including sexual health, mental health, and safeguarding.
7. Producing individual management plans.
8. Supporting the continued quality improvement of the service.
9. Working under the Forensic Science Regulator requirements.
10. Obtaining consent for Health and Forensic procedures.

Location: The Willow Tree SARC, Wednesbury
Salary: £44, Full and Part-Time Positions Available
Hours: Rota basis covering 24/7, 365 days per year.
Shift Patterns: 7am-7pm, 7pm-7am

Qualifications
Essential
1. Qualified Registered Nurse, Midwife, or Paramedic.
2. Because of the nature of the Sexual Offence Examiner, applications are invited from females only.
3. This post has a genuine occupational qualification under the Sex Discrimination Act, Section 7(2)b and 7(2)e.
4. Whilst the position may be based from one location, additional travel may be a requirement of the role across SARC's, therefore a UK driving license is required for this role and access to a vehicle.
5. Advanced DBS and level 2 Police vetting will be required.
Experience
Essential
1. A minimum of 3 years + relevant post qualification experience.
2. Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding children and adults.
3. Knowledge and understanding of confidentiality.
4. Phlebotomy skills.
5. Experience of autonomous working.
