Commercial Manager
We're looking for a Commercial Manager to join the Natural Resources, Nuclear & Networks team to work on the Severn Trent framework. This role offers remote working but you will need to visit our Severn Trent sites across the midlands, as required.
Location: Working from home and reporting to the Wanlip site
Contract: Permanent, Full Time – flexible and part-time hours may be available if desired, just let us know
What are my responsibilities in this role?
In this role, you'll be working with the Severn Trent team supporting them in managing the commercial aspects of the scheme between £5m-£20m in value, on both clean and dirty water treatment plants.
Your day to day will include:
* Assessing, reviewing, and mitigating commercial and contractual risks and implement Kier Group's policies for risk management.
* Completing and supporting the authorisation and submission of project variations.
* Maximising cash flow through the control, measurement and valuation of work, and the invoicing of customers and payment of suppliers.
* Responsible for the line management of the Quantity Surveying team within the department. This will include team meetings, day to day matters, looking after the wellbeing of employees and ensuring compliance of the company's procedures.
* Ensure accurate forecasting across all projects within the department through to the delivery of this forecast via the monthly reporting process.
What are we looking for?
This role would be great for you if:
* You hold a degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying with proven experience of commercial management.
* You have experience working with NEC contracts and with line management.
