The team is led by one of the Band 8a clinical leads in the department. You will be expected to provide a service to our highly specialised, patients with upper/lower gastroenterology, intestinal failure, hepato-bilo-pancreatic surgery, liver transplant and complex surgery. The hospital has one of the largest single site critical care units in the United Kingdom with 100 beds across four critical care units specialising in cardiac surgery including heart and lung transplantation, ECMO, VADS, Neurology/ Neurosciences, Major Trauma, Complex surgery. You should have dietetic experience within complex, specialist surgery. Also experience, skills and knowledge in enteral feeding, home tube feeding, nutritional support, education, training, clinical supervision, teaching and audit. You will be involved in personal and staff development through reflective practice, competency assessment, mentoring and student training.
