General Theatre Practitioner, Bank Medical Records Assistant, Bookings Administrators – Spire Lea Hospital
The Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital in Impington is currently recruiting for multiple roles including these:
1. General Theatre Practitioner – Orthopaedics: Care for patients undergoing procedures, providing exemplary planned care for patients within the perioperative stage, assisting in the management and organisation of care provision within the Scrub/Recovery team in the operating department, and acting as either Scrub/Recovery Practitioner across a range of clinical specialities.

2. Medical Records Assistant – Bank: Contribute to the customer services processes by maintaining an efficient medical records system whereby all patient paper records are filed accurately, stored securely, and can be easily retrieved and traced. Ensure that all patients undergoing treatment at Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital have a medical record folder with the relevant forms and documents filed in the appropriate sections, and that the up-to-date, complete patient record is available and accessible on the day of the patient’s admission to hospital or clinic as appropriate.

3. Bookings Administrator: Work in the Inpatient Bookings office of the hospital and carry out duties and tasks to ensure a smooth and efficient patient journey for all patients. Receive all inpatient bookings from consultants and/or their secretaries and register them onto HMS / SAP. Process pre-assessment bookings in line with current processes, working closely with nurses and anaesthetists to ensure a complete and comprehensive assessment is carried out for each patient. Enter and process inpatient/daycase bookings into SAP and ensure correspondence of admission information is received.

4. Bookings Administrator – FTC: This is a 12-month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave, where you will be working 37.5 hours per week. The successful candidate will work in the Inpatient Bookings office of the hospital and carry out duties and tasks to ensure a smooth and efficient patient journey for all patients. This is a great opportunity for someone who comes with previous administrative experience and dealing with customers. They are ideally looking at having this fixed term contract start no later than April/May but would love to bring someone on board prior to this to complete training.
