We are currently recruiting a Logistics Scheduler to work within our London team. You will be responsible for understanding resource requirements and constraints to prioritise our resources effectively to support the demands of the field engineers' work.
This role carries a high level of responsibility and requires an organised person who can plan efficiently, will engage well within the team and can provide clear communication to the wider stakeholders involved.
What you will be doing as a Logistics Coordinator:
* Engage with the Planning team and Enablers to ascertain workload and requirements to prioritise jobs both on a planned and reactive basis.
* Plan and allocate collection and delivery tasks to our Support Drivers with the appropriate skill set and their respective operating geography through SWIMS.
* Plan job for works preparation using SWIMS to ensure all materials and equipment are delivered to the correct address and are set up ahead of the start of works.
* Ensure jobs details are fully compliant with all traffic management/street works legislation to avoid any fixed penalty notices/permit fines.
* Ensure that Support Drivers maintain a healthy and safe work environment and endorse the Thames Waters Health & Safety commitment.
* Manage, allocate and prioritise the Support Drivers work stack to meet priority jobs that need to be completed.
* Monitor the progress of jobs by regular updates from the planning team, dig teams and supervisors to identify if any additional materials, plant, or equipment are required.
* Provide daily reports of resource utilisation and planned/reactive jobs completed to maintain Inventory Field Operations service commitments.
* Monitor collections to ensure no overruns and daily engagement with the planning team to ensure that permit end dates do not expire.
* Track SWIMS for work with a forecasted completion date to plan site inspections and site clearance for support drivers.
* Provide a weekly report on expected weekend work to ensure resources and materials are made available.
The base location for this role will be Darenth, DA2 7SR but you will cover the Southeast London area.
What you should bring to the role:
* Need to be organised and have a good understanding of work management processes and systems.
* Excellent attention to detail and good scheduling/planning skills.
* Competent in working with business-critical systems such as Salesforce, SAP, SWIMS, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
