Head of Engineering required to join a well-established manufacturing company that specialise in Metal Stamping, based in the Wolverhampton area. The successful candidate will be someone that is looking to take on a leadership role within a rapidly growing manufacturing business. With a strong focus on quality and customer satisfaction, the company offers a complete manufacturing process to a diverse customer base.
As the Head of Engineering, you will play a key role in driving the company's growth and innovation agenda. You will be responsible for leading a team of engineers to deliver on new product introductions, drive innovation, and continuously improve production and process engineering for current products. This will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement engineering strategies, projects, and initiatives that will drive the company forward.
Head of Engineering Position Overview
1. Leading and managing a team of engineers to ensure the successful delivery of new product introductions, innovation projects, and improvements to production processes
2. Developing and implementing engineering strategies, projects, and initiatives that align with the company's growth objectives and customer requirements
3. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in product quality, cost reduction, and manufacturing efficiency
4. Providing technical expertise and guidance to support the development of new products and processes
5. Identifying and implementing new technologies, processes, and equipment to enhance the company's manufacturing capabilities and competitive edge
6. Ensuring compliance with industry regulations, quality standards, and best practices in engineering and manufacturing
Head of Engineering Position Requirements
7. A degree in engineering or a related field, with professional qualifications such as chartered engineer status preferred
8. Demonstrated experience in leading and managing engineering teams to deliver on new product introductions and process improvements
9. Strong technical knowledge and expertise in Pressings, press tooling, laser cutting and automation
10. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and implement innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges
11. Proven ability to drive continuous improvement in product quality, cost reduction, and manufacturing efficiency
12. Experience in project management, budgeting, and resource allocation
13. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
14. Automotive industry experience, including overall responsibility for PPAP submission.
Head of Engineering Position Remuneration
15. Full time - Permanent position
16. 35 hour week - 08:30 - 16:30 Monday to Thursday, 08:30 - 13:30 on Fridays
17. Salary DOE
18. 33 days holiday including bh
19. Quarterly Bonus
20. Pension contributions up to 6%
