Job Overview:
As a Care Support Worker at West Midlands Home Care (WMHC) LTD, you will play a crucial role in delivering compassionate and high-quality care to individuals within their homes in Birmingham and surrounding areas. Location:
Areas such as Sparkhill, Sparkbrook, Small Heath, Tyseley, Hall Green, Moseley, Yardley, Sheldon, and Accocks Green
Duties:
1. Provide personalized care to individuals based on their unique needs and care plans.
2. Assist clients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, grooming, and mobility.
3. Administer medication as prescribed and ensure adherence to medication schedules.
4. Offer emotional support and companionship to clients.
5. Perform household tasks such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and running errands.
6. Monitor and report any changes in clients' health or behaviour to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
7. Implement dementia care strategies for clients with cognitive impairments.
8. Provide senior care services with respect and dignity.
9. Deliver hospice care services with empathy and understanding.
Qualifications:
1. Experience: Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred.
2. Certification: First Aid and CPR certification is required.
3. Knowledge: Familiarity with patient care techniques, dementia care, and medication protocols.
4. Attributes: Compassionate, empathetic, and skilled in effective communication with clients, families, and healthcare providers.
5. Additional Skills: Experience with eldercare, childcare, or dementia care is beneficial.
