Job Title: Commercial Manager

Due to continued growth and on-going expansion, our Construction client in the Co Tyrone Area wishes to recruit an experienced and dynamic Commercial Manager to join their innovative and exciting team! As Commercial Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the successful management of their Contracts, ensuring the realization of commercial and contractual targets. You will be reporting to the MD and will play a key part within the Senior Management team. Your primary responsibility is to oversee the commercial delivery and contractual aspects of these contracts, driving excellence in contract execution and financial performance. This role requires a skilled and detail-oriented professional with a deep understanding of commercial management and the ability to foster strong relationships with clients and the supply chain.
Essential Criteria:
1. 3+ years of experience in a similar position.
2. BSc / MSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience.
3. Technical knowledge of contract administration.
4. Commercial and operational awareness in delivering projects.
5. Strong grasp of subcontractor management.
6. Experience in managing people.
7. Proven experience in the fast-paced construction industry.
8. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Strong organisational and time management abilities.
10. High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
11. Proficient in MS Office.
12. Valid UK Driving Licence.
Key Responsibilities include:
1. Efficiently manage and oversee contracts both operationally and commercially.
2. Establish and monitor budgets and work specifications throughout the contracts.
3. Provide contractual and cost advice to operational staff.
4. Prepare tender submissions.
5. Monitor trends, report operational issues, and conduct audits of job completions and submissions.
6. Manage procurement, negotiation, and cost management of subcontractor packages.
7. Contractual management of contracts and resolution of day-to-day issues.
8. Operate in accordance with strict client KPIs, particularly focusing on Time, Cost, and Quality.
9. Project Financial Management: Oversee and manage project budgets, ensuring projects are completed within financial targets.
