HOERBIGER UKis an important member of the HOERBIGER Service business in Europe. We provide our customers with parts, repair and upgrade their compressors, and find solutions to their technical problems. This we can only do with a strong team. We are now looking for a skilled and dedicatedField Service Supervisorto join us in delivering exceptional service and innovative solutions. In this key role, you will supervise a team of field service engineers, ensuring safety, quality, and commercial success while solving complex mechanical and process-related issues. You will be at the forefront of identifying improvement opportunities that add value for our customers, working primarily on-site at customer locations.
How you will make a difference
* Team Leadership: Lead the on-site service team, including subcontractors, ensuring all overhaul and repair work is completed safely and efficiently.
* Health & Safety Management: Promote a positive Health & Safety culture and ensure all safety requirements are met throughout the service process.
* Field Service Supervision: Oversee the performance of Field Service technicians, ensuring compliance with the scope of work and managing customer expectations.
* Project Review and Scoping: Collaborate with sales teams and customers to review projects and assist in defining and qualifying the work scope.
* Site Assessments: Conduct site visits to establish work scopes, spare parts, and tooling requirements, enabling accurate quotations for customers.
* Quality Assurance: Obtain necessary inspection and customer sign-offs, monitor final reporting, and ensure adherence to QA standards.
* Reporting: Compile dimensional reports and service reports during and after site interventions for submission to the office.
* Service Planning: Support the preparation and planning of service activities to ensure smooth and timely execution.
What you should be good at
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience withmaintenance of rotating equipment, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
* HNC in an engineering disciplineor equivalent vocational qualification.
* Strong technical expertise inmechanical systems, with a preference for reciprocating compressor experience.
* Experience working in theOil and Gassector or similarly heavily regulated industries.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact and develop relationships within a small team.
* Fluent in the use ofMS-Office products, particularly Word and Excel.
* Safety Qualificationand a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
* Willingness to work on a flexible schedule, including being on-call and responding at short notice.
* Dynamic, passionate, and team-oriented, with a strongteamwork mentality.
* Full, clean UK driving license.
* Ability to travel70-80%of the time, with a willingness to obtain offshore certification and work offshore and overseas.
