Position Overview:
The Material Staging Coordinator is responsible for organising, managing, and ensuring the timely staging of materials required for production or other operational processes using SAP. This role involves working closely with procurement, production planning, and warehouse teams to ensure that materials are available, accurate, and ready for use in the correct quantities and locations.
Primary Responsibilities:
Material Staging:
1. Coordinate and execute the staging of materials for production orders and operational tasks using SAP.
2. Ensure that materials are staged in the correct locations and in the right quantities according to production schedules or requirements.
3. Verify material availability and issue materials from storage locations to staging areas using SAP transactions (e.g., MB1A, MB1B, MB1C, etc.).
4. Ensure materials are transferred from warehouse locations to production or assembly lines efficiently.
SAP Management:
5. Utilize SAP MM/WM modules to perform material movements, reservations, and inventory checks.
6. Manage material transfer postings and consumption against production orders (SAP transactions like MIGO, CO11N, or MF60 for staging in repetitive manufacturing environments).
7. Create and maintain accurate material documentation within SAP to ensure real-time visibility and traceability of inventory movements.
Inventory Control & Accuracy:
8. Perform regular stock checks, reconciliations, and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy within SAP.
9. Resolve discrepancies in inventory, liaising with relevant departments to rectify errors.
10. Monitor critical inventory levels, alerting procurement and planning teams when stock levels are low or at risk of shortages.
Collaboration:
11. Work closely with production planners, warehouse staff, and procurement teams to ensure the timely availability of materials.
12. Coordinate with procurement to expedite material orders when necessary.
13. Communicate with production teams to prioritize material staging based on production schedules.
Minimum Requirements:
14. Experience with SAP MM, SAP WM, or related ERP system for material management.
15. Experience in manufacturing or production environments is highly preferred.
16. Technical Skills:
17. Proficient in SAP Material Management (MM) and/or Warehouse Management (WM).
18. Familiar with SAP transactions related to material staging, material movement, and inventory control (MB1A, MB1B, MB1C, MIGO, CO11N, MF60).
19. Basic understanding of production scheduling and demand planning processes.
