We’re currently recruiting for a field-based Commissioning Engineer/Technician to fault find and commission Passenger Boarding Bridges and related equipment at Airports across our clients’ sites.
MISSION / RESPONSIBILITIES:
To be responsible for making sure that all of the equipment and facilities needed at a client’s site are installed correctly and safely, and that everything works as expected.
KNOWLEDGE AND PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE:
Education / Qualifications/Experience:
* Time Served Electrical Engineering experience.
* PLC controls and HMI experience.
* Qualifications and/or experience with PLC software an advantage.
* Strong Technical Knowledge.
* Knowledge of the Airport Sector an advantage.
* Full UK Driving License.
MAIN TASKS AND ACTIVITIES:
* As Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for testing and delivery of a functional system, in-line with the project scope on site.
* You should work TKAS Commissioning processes, ensuring that the system is followed.
* Train the customer in using the product(s) both at operator and maintainer level.
* Ensure handover to the customer.
* This role will involve travelling nationwide (including Ireland), and internationally as required.
* Making improvements to, and offering advice about, operational procedures.
* Creating and implementing test procedures.
* Investigating problems and diagnosing and repairing faults.
* Liaising with clients and installation/project engineers.
* Supervising engineering and technical staff.
* Gathering and analysing performance and safety data.
* Writing reports and documentation.
* Providing technical support.
