Job Title: 1:1 Year 1 Teaching Assistant Location: Nottingham city centre Position Type: Full-Time Start : ASAP Job Description: We are recruiting on behalf of a primary city Academy that is seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide individualised support for a Year 1 student. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment for the student while working collaboratively with the class teacher and other support staff. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one support to a Year 1 student with specific learning needs. Assist in the development and implementation of personalised educational plans. Collaborate with the class teacher to adapt and differentiate lessons to meet the student's needs. Foster positive relationships to support the student's social and emotional development. Monitor and record the student's progress, providing regular feedback to the teacher. Implement behavioural strategies and interventions as directed by the teacher or SENCO. Encourage the student's independence and participation in classroom activities. Communicate effectively with parents, providing updates on the student's progress. Qualifications: Minimum of a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent. Previous experience working as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, preferably in Year 1. Understanding of child development and learning principles. Empathy, patience, and a passion for supporting individual student needs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
