The Menon lab has a full-time Research Associate position available to unravel how lung-infiltrating B cells contribute to chronic lung disease. Utilizing a combination of tissue and blood samples from patients/ controls, in vivo disease models and cutting-edge technologies, the successful candidate will investigate how B cells interact with the lung microenvironment, alter the extracellular matrix and promote tissue inflammation in COPD and other chronic lung diseases. We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced and creative researcher with a strong background in immunology. Skills/ requirements include: Have, or be about to obtain, a PhD in immunology or a relevant field Extensive up-to-date theoretical and practical knowledge in immunology-focussed laboratory research. Experience with molecular biology techniques (single-cell sequencing, spatial transcriptomics), bioinformatics, in vivo models, in vitro culture systems and/or flow cytometry will be considered a strong merit. Funding for the position is available for 4 years.
