Job Description:
Protocol Education is seeking full-time SEND Teaching Assistants to start immediately at a secondary SEND school in the S11 area. The school is rated 'good' by Ofsted, and our staff enjoy a positive working environment.
If you have experience working with children or adults with additional needs, or possess a relevant degree, this rewarding role could be suitable for you.
The Role:
As a full-time Teaching Assistant, you will support SEND students to maximize their educational opportunities and succeed outside the classroom. The role starts as temporary with potential for permanent employment.
Daily tasks include supporting students during lessons, providing pastoral support, supervising off-site visits, supporting activities on the school's farm, and serving as a positive role model.
Candidate Requirements:
Whether experienced or new to the role, you should be outgoing, confident, and passionate about supporting young people, especially those who are vulnerable. Skills in managing challenging behaviour and de-escalation strategies are essential.
Applicants must have the necessary qualifications and training. Please refer to the Protocol Education website FAQs for details.
Pay rates include statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position with potential for permanent placement later.
Protocol Education is committed to safeguarding children and conducts relevant checks, including DBS verification. We offer free safeguarding and Prevent Duty training. All candidates must have a valid DBS check and subscribe to the DBS Update Service.
