Are you ready to take the lead in revolutionising our Travel Services? As the Global Category Manager, you'll be at the helm of our strategic vision and initiatives within this dynamic category. Your role will encompass managing all expenditures, driving strategic plans, and leading key initiatives that shape the future of our Travel Services.
You'll be the driver behind our partner and supplier engagements, ensuring seamless collaboration and innovation. Your strategic vision will be pivotal in developing and executing the Category strategy, aligning with the broader Technology Services vision.
In this role, you'll forge strong relationships with key business stakeholders, spearhead proactive sourcing projects, and influence demand management. You'll also lead the charge in enhancing supplier performance and driving innovation within the category.
What will you be doing?
1. Providing input to the Global Category Lead for setting functional objectives.
2. Delivering Travel Services Category targets.
3. Collecting and analysing supplier, market, and internal business data.
4. Developing and communicating the Global Category Strategy for Travel Services.
5. Identifying and mitigating key supplier risks & resolving supplier performance issues promptly.
6. Executing projects based on the Category strategy and business plans.
7. Leading proactive sourcing and establishing key supplier relationships.
8. Implementing consistent KPIs and managing strategic supplier relationships.
9. Driving innovation with strategic suppliers.
10. Creating, applying, and reviewing major contracts.
11. Ensuring alignment of activities with the overall Category strategy.
12. Communicating negotiated contracts to stakeholders and ensuring compliance.
What will you need to be successful?
You'll need strong Travel procurement experience, with Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, in fields such as business administration, finance, law or a scientific or technical field. A CIPS qualification is a bonus.
Success in the role will be determined by increased value across the category, and improved relationships internally and externally. Ultimately we want to move towards something that is much more proactive, and will allow us to plan our demand better, deliver simpler and better processes and when needed source new suppliers that will further increase competition and deliver value.
