The Shakespeare Hospice, based in Stratford upon Avon, offers a diverse range of services across South Warwickshire and surrounding areas. Patients and their families/carers can access one or more specialised services: day hospice, hospice at home, adult and children's counselling for pre and post bereavement, transitional care for terminally ill 16-24 year olds, and spiritual, emotional and complementary therapies. We pride our offer as one that is all inclusive and embraces not only the patient but their complete support system, family and loved ones.
The Hospice currently has six charity shops and an active online presence selling a variety of new and donated quality goods. Profits raised from our shops play a vital role in our income generation activities, helping us to generate the £3 million per year it costs to deliver our services.
The Hospice is excited to be opening a brand-new store in Bidford-on-Avon in February 2025 and we are looking for an experienced, passionate and motivated Shop Manager to help run this new shop. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in a growing organisation, where your retail expertise will help generate vital funds to support our hospice services.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and management skills, to motivate and lead a dedicated team of staff and volunteers to achieve income targets. You will also be able to create visual merchandising displays which are innovative and engaging, and provide a positive shopping experience for all our donors and customers.
Our ideal candidate will have previous retail management experience, with a sharp business mind-set and be willing to be an active and leading presence on the shop floor. This role will be hands-on and require manual handling of larger items. You will have excellent organisational, planning and problem solving skills, knowledge of the relevant health and safety practices and have high quality people management skills. If you would like to be part of a dedicated team and make a difference to those needing our support, then we would love to hear from you.
By clicking apply you will be taken to our website, where you can see further details (including a link to the job description) and you can complete your application to us online.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK.
