What you will do
In this position, you will be part of imec's department leading the development of next-generation technologies, focusing on advanced devices and systems. As a Test Chip Architect, you will design relevant demonstrators for technology pathfinding, focusing on new memories such as Magnetic RAMs, eDRAM, and ferroelectric memories. Your responsibilities include defining and strategizing the test chip, specifying test structures, planning measurements, managing tape-outs, and ensuring qualification processes. You will collaborate with various teams including integration, device, testing, and System/Design-Technology Co-Optimization (STCO/DTCO).
* Define and specify test chip demonstrators
* Plan tape-outs and manage projects
* Develop measurement and characterization strategies
* Oversee tape-out qualifications
* Participate in the design of parts of the demonstrator and GDS delivery

Who you are
* You hold a Master’s degree in Electronics with at least 5 years of relevant experience in circuit design, either industrial or academic.
* You have solid experience in designing circuit demonstrators and leading tape-outs.
* You have a background in mixed-signal or digital circuit design and have translated designs into hardware.
* You understand the functioning and characteristics of emerging memories.
* You are familiar with circuit design tools such as Virtuoso, Hspice, and Calibre.
* You have experience with measurement equipment and understand their limitations.
* Experience with PCB or demo board design, FPGA programming, or probe measurement is a plus.
* You have worked in multidisciplinary teams, collaborating with hardware designers, EDA vendors, and foundry partners.
* You are eager to explore new challenges and adapt to evolving R&D demands.
* You are an open and constructive team player.
