The Capital Estates & Facilities Portering department at Broadmoor hospital, Crowthorne has a vacancy as a porter working for a full time porter, working on a shift pattern over a 7-day week operation.The Portering Team are looking for a talented, enthusiastic and experienced porter to become part of a large team providing an excellent comprehensive service to our service users, staff and visitors.
The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the safe transportation of goods around the site. They must hold a full driving licence as they will be responsible for the safe use of Trust vehicles.
Your role will assist the service in providing an efficient, flexible and customer focused portering service. Involving a variety of tasks including the collection/delivery of Post/parcels, housekeeping stock, gas cylinders, food delivery’s, waste removal, setting up meeting rooms, consumable products, medication delivery’s, cleaning duties vehicle inspections and any other miscellaneous duties.
You will need to exhibit a professional attitude to the role with the ability to communicate well with others and demonstrate a team focussed approach to working with all trust staff as well as members of the immediate team.
You should possess a full and clean driving licence and a willingness to develop skills to drive a range of vehicles.
You should have a good understanding of Health & Safety with the ability to follow instructions to ensure that all Safe Systems of Work are adhered to.
