We are looking to recruit an Exams Officer to play a pivotal role in the administration, management and conducting of examinations at our school with both External and Internal examinations. As the Exams Officer, you will be the main point of contact between the school and the examination/awarding bodies. You will liaise with the Senior Leadership Team (in particular, the Assistant Headteacher responsible for Exams), the SEN Department, Heads of Department, teaching staff, candidates and parents/guardians. You will also be responsible for the organisation and work of any examination invigilators and/or facilitators. To be successful, you will: Be confident with great interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with all staff, students and parents/guardians. Responsibly manage a team of Exam Invigilators and be able to act as a role model, challenge and motivate, promote and establish productive working relationships with staff. Have a keen eye for detail, ensuring that documentation is accurately checked as required. Be patient, calm and willing to help any students who may require assistance or direction leading up to exams. Understand the regulations and requirements of all examinations held by the school, both internal and external. Comply with all JCQ and awarding body regulations and keep up to date with any changes to these. Informal discussions with the Headteacher and/or visits are actively encouraged.
