Education Welfare and Attendance Officer - Trinity Academy Halifax

An opportunity exists for an Education Welfare and Attendance Officer to join our pastoral team at Trinity Academy Halifax to:
1. Reduce student absence across the academy by leading the delivery of attendance strategies.
2. Engage with families to support them to engage with the academy and to recognise the importance of attendance and fulfill their legal responsibilities.
3. Facilitate effective partnerships between parents, families and the academy and its partners.
What we need?
1. Education to degree level or equivalent relevant experience
2. Experience of successfully working with young people (of a relevant age)
3. Experience of working in an educational environment
4. Understanding of safeguarding and child protection issues
5. Experience of working in a busy organisation and dealing with confidential matters
