Logistics Operative – Receipt & Distribution

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust has an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated and reliable individual to join our friendly Logistics team within Receipt and Distribution at Frimley Park Hospital.
This is a hands-on and physically active role where you’ll play a key part in ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of essential supplies across the hospital. Working as part of a small, supportive team, you’ll be involved in the day-to-day distribution and collection of goods to all departments, helping to keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.
Main duties of the job
What You’ll Be Doing
1. Carrying out internal deliveries and collections of supplies across the hospital site using electric vehicles.
2. Assisting with the loading and unloading of delivery vehicles.
3. Receipting goods on the Trust’s e-procurement system (full training provided).
4. Collecting items for return, liaising with the Procurement team.
5. Picking and packing stock held within the Logistics remit.
6. Ensuring the Distribution area remains safe, clean, and well organised.
7. Supporting additional Logistics tasks as directed by the Logistics Manager.
8. Maintaining high standards of health and safety, including manual handling awareness.

Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities
What we’re looking for:
1. A good team player with strong communication skills.
2. Basic computer knowledge – full training will be given.
3. A willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
4. A strong awareness of safety and care in a healthcare setting.
5. Previous experience in a stores or distribution role is desirable, but not essential – training will be provided.
