Job Title: Senior Network Engineer – 12-Month Daily Rate Contract (£399/day Inside IR35)
Location: Remote (occasional onsite meetings)
About the Role
Are you a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer looking for an exciting contract opportunity? In this role you will play a key role in digitising the future of financial services. You’ll collaborate with talented network and voice teams to enhance and modernise infrastructure, improve performance, reduce technical debt and work on the company integration programme.

Responsibilities
1. Configure and maintain routing, switching, and security devices across enterprise campuses and data centres.
2. Apply best practices to enhance performance, reliability, and security.
3. Work closely with Project Managers, 3rd Line Engineers, and service desk teams to deliver technical solutions.
4. Contribute to the design and documentation of network and voice solutions.
5. Support and implement network changes through IT Change Processes.
6. Provide technical support for complex issues, applying specialist expertise to troubleshoot and resolve incidents.
7. Share knowledge with peers through technical workshops and incident reviews.
8. Manage the lifecycle of network devices (upgrades, capacity planning, and succession).
9. Support the creation of standards, procedures, and risk documentation aligned with industry best practices.
Qualifications
* Strong experience in enterprise networking with in-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, VPN, and Wireless.
* Proficiency in routing protocols (OSPF, BGP) and network monitoring tools.
* Hands-on experience with firewalls (Cisco, Fortigate, Juniper, or Palo Alto).
* Familiarity with Cisco ACI and data centre architectures.
* Appreciation and understanding of Cyber Security.
* Understanding of voice technologies.
* Previous experience of working on a company integration programme.
* Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Routing & Switching or equivalent experience.
* Proficient with MS Office Suite (MSP, PowerPoint) and ServiceNow.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
* Experience liaising with third parties (BT, Vodafone, Cisco).
