Full-Time SEND Teaching Assistant – Orpington
We are looking for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive school in Orpington. This full-time role involves working with students studying Science, many of whom have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs and challenging behaviours.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide tailored support to students in Science lessons, helping them engage and succeed.
2. Work closely with teachers and SEN staff to create a positive learning environment.
3. Support students with SEMH and challenging behaviours, using de-escalation strategies and positive reinforcement.
4. Foster students’ confidence, well-being, and academic progress.
Working Hours:
Monday: 8 AM - 4 PM
Tuesday & Wednesday: 8 AM - 4:30 PM
Thursday: 8 AM - 3:30 PM
Friday: 8 AM - 4 PM
What We’re Looking For:
1. Experience working with SEND students, SEMH, and challenging behaviours (preferred).
2. A passion for supporting young people in their learning journey.
3. Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
4. Ability to work as part of a team in a dynamic school setting.
