Domus Recruitment are currently working with a fantastic service provider in Pontypridd who are looking to recruit a Registered Manager to oversee a 10-bedded Learning Disability service.
This reputable organization is looking for a strong, dynamic manager who has experience working with adults with complex needs Learning Disabilities.
Key Responsibilities of a Registered Manager:
1. Work in a consistent and positive way with managers and other team members to ensure people always receive a great service from the whole team. Ensure all organisation policies and specific agreed ways of working in the service are followed.
2. Actively lead the team’s development by coaching and training colleagues in person centred support practices, appraisals, and supervision, giving and acting on received feedback; management of risks of the individual(s) they support through understanding what is important to the individual(s), involving their families, wherever possible, and ensuring decisions are accurately recorded.
3. To have a full understanding of the MCA, how to assess capacity, the best interest decision making process, who to involve, how to involve and who needs to be informed and updated.
4. To have a full understanding of CQC, their KLOE, their requirements and how to report any abuse and/or other related actions.
Registered Manager Requirements:
5. Have previous experience in a management role (preferably in the learning disabilities sector) and be a strong staff manager.
6. Experience of managing staff and handling performance issues/disciplinaries.
7. Strong IT and organisational ability.
8. Experience of liaising with external bodies – e.g. local council and CQC.
9. Ideally Level 5 diploma in Health and Social care.
10. A full driving licence and access to their own vehicle.
