An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced registered nurse to join the senior oncology nursing team on Hogarth Ward as a full time Deputy Ward Manager. Hogarth provides inpatient adult oncology care and also a Day Case for the 17-25 year old patients receiving anti-cancer treatment. The Deputy Manager role will require the applicant to work in both of these roles with a particular focus on the Day Case.

Hogarth ward is a 15 bedded unit with 4 rooms dedicated to the Teenage and Young Adult (TYA) patients. Hogarth also has a Day Case for the TYA patients.

We have a team that is passionate and proactive, with numerous staff successfully completing patient improvement projects, Daisy award winners and Chief Nurse Fellow.

You must display excellent leadership and communication skills and be confident to deal with members of the public and the hospitals multidisciplinary team. It is essential that you have recent experience in an acute environment and Chemotherapy competent and able to undertake cannulation and venepuncture. You will also be required to support staff and take an active role in band 6 management duties.
