Job summary Occupational Therapy Band 7 for Acute and Urgent Care (mental health) 18 Months Fixed Term. The focus of the role will be holding a complex caseload and delivering clinical Occupational Therapy alongside band 5 and band 6 OTs where appropriate. To work closely with multi professional colleagues particularly nursing colleagues to develop and embed the integrated clinical model; in particular to enhance opportunities for the delivery of occupational therapy with a focus on achieving a therapeutic environment, to support recovery and effective discharge planning and improving physical health. Main duties of the job Essential criteria include a keen interest, clinical experience, leadership, advanced communications skills and a flexible approach is prerequisite. You will need to have a vision to implement service improvement initiatives, to drive the services forward as part of the Acute Management team. You will possess the ability to work autonomously, multitask and be self-organised, promoting further development and influence high quality clinical practice. You will be responsible for supporting the delivery of high standards of safe patient care in line with National guidance.
