Education required:
1. BBC at A Level (excluding Citizenship, General Studies and Critical thinking) (or equivalent) OR L4 Data Analytics at Merit or Distinction level (or equivalent).
2. At least 5 GCSEs or equivalent grade 9-5 (A*-C) including Maths, English Language (not Literature) and a Science.
3. English Language at grade 4 and above will also be accepted.
Language requirement: Written and spoken fluency in English.
Other requirements:
1. You must live within a 60-minute commute of the site location on the day you start your apprenticeship as you are expected to be on site daily.
2. Worthing is a penicillin manufacturing site. Please consider this if you are allergic to beta-lactam penicillin.
Expected start date: 1 September 2025.

Ahead together with tailored training and career development
This is a 4-year practical, hands-on apprenticeship where you'll be working towards a Level 6 Data Scientist qualification through the University of Nottingham. For more information see:

What will you do?
1. Learn about and use a range of analytical tools to be able to analyse different types of data to support and improve the manufacture of our medicines.
2. Develop a good understanding of data structures and database systems.
3. Learn how to extract, clean and manipulate large data sets.
4. Learn how to create data visualizations to inform strategic and operational decision making.
5. Learn about our pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
6. Work across a variety of projects in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment, providing technical data solutions to a range of issues.
7. Learn about basic AI and machine learning principles and their application in pharmaceutical data analysis and process improvement.
What do we offer you?
1. Starting salary of £20,800 per year, increasing to £26,400 after 1 year (subject to review annually) + annual bonus based on company performance.
