Job Description
Quality Manager
£35,000-£38,000
Devon
Are you ready to step up into a Quality Manager position?
If you feel ready to step up into a Quality Manager position, where you’ll be supported while you develop your skills and confidence, here you’ll be given the opportunity to do just that.
You’ll be joining a smaller site, where collaboration and genuine cross-functional appreciation is a reality. Very often, technical and quality commitments can be seen as an obstacle to delivering product, here that is not the case. It’s a dairy and gluten free site, allergen control has to take priority and this is something that every employee fully understands.
You’ll be working closely with the Technical Director, managing the Quality function and supporting the technical department with site visits and BRC audits, more so as your confidence grows. There two direct reports, where you’ll be given the opportunity to share your knowledge, support, guide and train.
There’s lots of product innovation here, new product development has driven success and you will play your part. A key element will be completing product specifications, ensuring technical compliance of raw material suppliers’ information, main retailers’ specifications and pack copies are accurately submitted in line with critical path deadlines.
To be successful, we’re looking for experience in quality management gained in the technical department within the food industry. You’ll be trained in internal auditing, HACCP qualified and with Food Safety Level 3 ideally. We’re open on category experience, as long as you’re knowledgeable around driving a food safety culture factory-wide, with great people leadership and engagement skills.
