Job Description:
The Business Support Administrator role is a core position in our community Learning Disability teams. As an Admin in the team, you will be involved with a wide range of tasks and processes that are intrinsic to ensuring the team is working efficiently and in the best interests of our patients.
Admin colleagues provide support to the clinicians to enable them to provide the best therapeutic input for our patients. The role is also interested in the day-to-day running of the team and office and is often seen as the central hub of the team. It is a role where you can feel like you are making a positive difference to people's lives.
It is an exciting time to be joining DPT Learning Disability services as we restructure and update our clinical model. We are starting anew and looking to realign our services so we are able to provide a quality and equitable service to our patient group across Devon. Whilst you would be the newest member of the team, you would be joining at a time where the team structure is also new, with new working relationships being formed.
This is a full-time substantive position of 37.5 hours a week.
Main Duties of the Job
To provide comprehensive administration support to the Specialist Community Health Team for Learning Disabilities - Exeter (also known as MDT 2). There will be an expectation for the post holder to be highly motivated, flexible, and multi-skilled with excellent organisational skills. The post holder will have high standard word processing skills and computer literacy. They will be required to maintain an up-to-date knowledge of Information Technology. The post holder will need to meet deadlines, collate data, and maintain standards relating to administrative processes. They will need to be able to work within a team effectively and share work streams where appropriate.
Main duties of the role include (but are not limited to) minute-taking, formatting documents, answering the office phone and actioning appropriately, organising meetings, dealing with incoming and outgoing mail, and any other general administrative duties required by the team.
