If so, Gladstone Primary Academy is looking for you Your role: Gladstone Primary Academy is seeking a dedicated and passionate SENDCo to build on our strong SEND provision. Due to the promotion of our current SENDCo to the Trust's SEND Lead role, you will have the opportunity to further develop our inclusive practice. You will have the support of the Trust SEND Lead and a collaborative network of SENDCos across TDET. This non-class-based role is supported by two lead SEND Teaching Assistants and involves the line management of the Academy's ELSA and SEND class teacher for our provision room. As a member of the academy's Senior Leadership Team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the strategic development of SEND policy and provision. You will have qualified teacher status and ideally hold the National Award for SEN Co-ordination or be willing to complete it within three years of appointment. You should have a sound knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and effective intervention strategies. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to plan and evaluate interventions, data analysis skills and a commitment to getting the best outcomes for pupils are essential.
